About Skiory

So why the affix 'SKIORY'?

Sky and Rio were our first foundation bitches back in 2005 and unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances we could not show them. Sky and Rio are wonderful, loving and very sweet natured dogs, who have achieved a lot and gone through a lot.

Two years later we decided that we would like to add another addition to our home and started having a look around. We came across a litter of puppies due from Carolyn Mabey, her last litter of Rottweiler’s.

They were born on the 1st November 2007 and after a few visits, we finally made our choice or should I say a puppy chose us! We took this little bundle of fluff home on the 23rd December and have not looked back since.

Both Darren and I decided we would enter Cody into a couple of breed shows, how proud we were when on the 7th June 2008, at only 7 months old and at only his 2nd Championship show - Oakprides Final Stand came a fantastic 2nd in his class, qualifying him for Crufts 2009. It was then that we decided that it would be nice to have our own affix to add to his name.

So what better name to use than an anagram of our first two babies 'Sky and Rio' after much deliberation we finally came up with 'SKIORY'.
